Our first miles in the south of Peru take us along the Pacific to Moquegua and then we head on to one of the most beautiful parts of the longest road in the world, the Pan- American Highway. Soon we reach the ancient port of Puerto Inca. Nazca then awaits us and, after a nice ride in the morning, there is the option to discover the world famous Nazca Lines by plane. The road from Nazca to Ollantaytambo is around 500 miles long. Turn after turn, we guide our motorcycles towards today‘s destination, where we take a train to the famous Machu Picchu to experience this unique sight overlooking the Urubamba valley.
Here, we will spend two nights before moving on to Cusco, the former capital of the Incas. We continue our ride on the Altiplano directly to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lago Titicaca. Of course, we will have time to visit the famous Uros Floating Islands! Then we are off to see the Colca Canyon, where amazing landscapes and, hopefully, even condors are waiting for us! Arequipa, the white city at the foothills of the Andes, is our destination for the next two days. With its numerous colonial style buildings, it is really a nice place. From the balcony of our hotel right next to the cathedral we can watch the sunset while we sip our last Pisco Sour before heading back to Arica.
