OVERVIEW

Day 1:  Arrive at Leh and Night stay at Leh

Arrive at Leh, which is called the city of Stupas, a place easy to fall love with. Once transferred to hotel, need to acclimatize to cope with high altitude.

Day 2: In and around Leh

This morning after breakfast visit the Hall of Fame, a glorious museum constructed by Indian army. Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak. Later we go to Alchi, (3500M) a small village in the Indus Valley, 67 Kms west of Leh. Abandoned centuries ago the gompa or monastery is known as Chos-kor or religious enclave and comprises of five temples.

Enroute we will see the majestic Sangam – Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

Day 3: Leh to Kargil via Dah Batalik

After breakfast we head towards Kargil (Through 2 Passes: Fouto La: 4100M & Namika La: 3700M). Will ride to Kargil via Dah. Dah is one of the coldest area in the world and famous for its Brokpa villages. Kargil is the second largest town on the bank of Indus river.

Day 4: Kargil – Rangdum

A pristine area of Zanskar would be ventured today from Kargil. Rangdum is located in isolated Suru Valley and famous for its massive monastery of 18th century.

Day 5: Rangdum – Shargole

After a filling Tibetian break-fast, will ride to Shergole. A small monastery is there in a picturesque surroundings.

Day 6: Shargole – Leh via Lamayuru

After breakfast we head towards Leh. We ride upstream along the River Indus on Kargil – Leh Highway. We will be crossing Namik La(3700M), Fotu La Mulabek

(4100M). Lamayuru is also known as moonland on earth and is also home to the famous Lamayuru Monestery

Day 7: Rest day at Leh

Day 8: Leh – Khardungla – Nubra Valley

This morning, ride to Nubra Valley popularly known as Dorma or ‘The valley of flowers’ crossing the Khardung La Pass(5580M) – world’s highest motor able road (5602M). Visit the main Diskit Monastery and see the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Day 9: Nubra – Khardung La – Leh

After Breakfast ride back to Leh crossing the Khardung La (5580M). Khardung-La which means Pass of Lower Castle,’ is major caravan route from Leh to Kashgar in Central Asia. We will stop at Shanti Stupa before we head back to Leh town.

Day 10: Leh – Changla Pangong Lake

Today we head to the famous Pangong Tso lake, which is a 134 km long salt water lake and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. We will be crossing the Changla Pass (5360M), the world’s 3rd highest motor-able road.

Day 11: Pangong Lake – Leh

Back to Leh we stop over at the 800 years old gompa at Thiksey built on a hilltop and modeled on the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa and then visit Shey Palace, the 15th century summer palace and monastery of Leh’s Royal family.

Day 12: Airport transfer to Leh

The fascinating tour is over. With a lifetime memory in the highest mountain in the world, you can pack-up for your back journey to your originating destination.

  • Any Medical expenses or any emergency expenses for rider
  • Taxes not included in the price. However, it would be charged as per applicable rate
  • Any new imposition of tax/permit charges etc. by any competent authority/nodal body after the date of this offer
